Kitten Island on Xbox is a purrfectly adorable new Mario-inspired platform wonder

Fancy taking a trip to Kitten Island on Xbox? This brand new platformer is available right now – but don’t expect it to be all fluff. This one looks to get the claws out, even if it is sending out big Mario vibes.

Available right now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S is Kitten Island. The product of Maria and Phoenix Reborn Games. We guess Maria just loves cats as it is this which is the basic premise behind the release of Kitten Island. A wonderful little world in which cats try to reign supreme, it’s seemingly up to you to help a little kitty traverse the island ahead. 

You just need to take in the videos and screenshots to understand the inspiration behind this one. It’s about as ‘Mario’ as you are likely to get, with that old plumber switched out for a fluffy feline. 

Standard platforming action looks to play out from there. Kitten Island is host to three distinct worlds, each of which are complete with a variety of traps, obstacles and enemies. Bottom-bouncing your way to victory will be standard.

With a price of £4.19, if you are looking for something to scratch a Super Mario Bros. Wonder itch on Xbox, Kitten Island may well suit.
