Guess what? It is still the 28th Series in Forza Horizon 5 and it is still Winter in Mexico. Christmas is but a fond memory, and all that is ahead is a return to work. But let’s not be downhearted, at least we have a whole new set of Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges to try our hand at in Series 28 Winter Part 4.
So, for the final time in 2023, let’s check out what we need to do and what cars we need to do it in, shall we?
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Ultimate Driving Machine
The weekly challenge car for Series 28 – Winter 4 is the BMW M4 GTS, a limited edition run of the M4. Only 700 were made in the whole world, but virtual ones are a lot more plentiful, thankfully.
Should you not have one in your garage, tough! It can’t be bought at the Autoshow and it isn’t being given away this week, so best hit the Auction House, eh?
Chapter 1 – Race Ready
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!
Chapter 2 – Hitting New Heights
When it launched, this was apparently the fastest production BMW ever, with 0-60 taking only 3.4 seconds. Test this out by earning 2 Hard Charger skills, which are earned for doing a burnout and a speed skill close together.
Chapter 3 – Water You Waiting For?
As the car has water injection on its engine, it produces 493 BHp. We need to now tame this power by getting three stars at the Ladera Speed Zone. This is in Guanajuato, in the top middle of the map.
A three star speed is an average of 95 mph, so do your best. I had to tune mine a tad to do this, lso ook for the share name “GTS” with my GT, Red620Ti. Not gonna lie, this was tricky.
Chapter 4 – Club Sport
Now we simply need to go out and win a Road Sprint event. Easy with this tune.
Choose your best track and have a go!
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
So, with the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer, shall we?
Only two Eventlabs this week, so normal service is resumed. But there’s other stuff in place to go alongside those…
The Trial – Seeing Double
Another head to head kind of event here, as we need to pit two cars up against each other that are basically the same – The Toyota GT86 and the Subaru BRZ.
The tuning limit is B Class 700, and I chose a Subaru BRZ, mainly because I already had one tuned up! The shared code is : 139235813
Should we manage to win two out of three races in The Trial, a Zenvo TS-R will be ours.
Eventlab 1 – ESGRUMPY Presents – Rabbit Raceway
S1 Class Track Toys are required this time around, and of the cars on the list, I chose a Ford Supervan 3 from 1994. The share code for mine is : 142867545.
This is a fast Hot Wheels style track, with some evil corners thrown in. Luckily the brakes in the old Transit are very good indeed!
The prize for completing this race is a new emote, Get to the Chopper“.
Eventlab 2 – David TIDNAM Presents – Touge Barttle Vol.3
The category for this one is Muscle Vs Tuner, and the class is B Class 700. Of the vast array of cars that falls into one of those categories, I chose a Nissan Skyline GT-R from 1997, because why wouldn’t you? The share code for mine is : 224199956.
A nice flowing track, but the decision to put arbitrary concrete barriers down the middle of some of the track is an odd one.
Take away a Super Wheelspin for completing this one.
PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Basejump
Each PR Stunt needs a different car this week, just for a change. This time the car we need is a B Class Chevy Nova from 1969. Look for share name “Nova B” with my GT, Red620Ti.
We need to clear over 425m.
We get a Super Wheelspin in return though. Yep, another week, more Super Wheelspins.
PR Stunt 2 -Speed Trap – Bypass
The car this time is a Nissan Fairlady Z from ‘94, and the class is the same, B 700. Share name for mine is “SpeedZ” and the target for the task this week is 150 mph.
Another Super Wheelspin awaits.
PR Stunt 3 – Drift Zone – Rancheria
A Ford Focus from 2017 may seem like an odd choice for a drifting challenge, and that’s because it is!
I’ve tuned one up to S1 Class 900 for this event, and converted it to RWD, so hang on tight! The share name is “Driftfocus” with the same GT as above.
We need to score over 95,00 drift points to be successful. On dirt. What could go wrong?
Yet another Super Wheelspin awaits. The second Secret Santa car has been successfully unlocked, so feel free to sell the cars instead!
Seasonal Championship 1 – Petal to the Metal
We need to use a Lotus vehicle for this set of races, tuned to A Class 800. I chose a somewhat left field choice, an Elan from 1971. The share name for this is “Elan A”.
For winning out, we can take home a Vuhl 05RR. Better than a wheelspin, or a poke in the eye!
Seasonal Championship 2 – The Ultimate Showdown
Now, this promises to be interesting.
We have a choice of a Bugatti Divo or a Koenigsegg Jesko for this championship, and the tune limit is S2 Class 998. I chose a Divo, as I like a bit of AWD, and the share code for mine is : 169915677.
Should we win out, a BMW M3 GTR will be a nice thing to take home..
Part 3: Other Challenges
There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week with Series 28 Winter: Part 4.
There’s the Photo Challenge, and a Treasure Hunt, and even a spot of the Eliminator. Lots to do, especially when you chuck in the Horizon Tour challenge as well – a bit of jolly cooperation is always fun.
Photo Challenge – #HAPPYHOLDENDAYS!
We have to photograph a Holden car, if the name wasn’t enough of a clue, and we have to do it at the Gran Puente.

The reward? A new Forzalink phrase, “Happy Holidays!”.
Treasure Hunt – ISETTA NEW HIGH SCORE!
The clue this week reads “A small car to behold, launch it high and you’ll see gold!”.
The picture is an Isetta, sure enough, and I’m guessing that we need to fly off a Danger Sign. The one in the photo is the one at the Horizon Mexico outpost, so I used that one too.
I do have one I prepared earlier, and the share code is : 145448300. It is bonkers though…

Horizon Tour – Co-Op Championships
We need to just complete a Tour, which for those of you not in the know is a series of three races against Driverbots, and two point to point races against your fellow humans.
The prize is a whole 8 points towards the weekly prizes!
The Eliminator – Battle Royale
Now we need to hide in a bush until the big boys take each other out.
Make it to the top 30 and you’ll earn a Forzalink phrase “Oh? You’re Approaching Me?”.
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Supersonic Spiral
For this event, it is a Honda NSX-R that gets the nod – the 1992 model and the tuning limit is S1 Class 900. Look for share name “GRS1”.
This time we need to average over 155mph through the zone, and the share name for my car is “NSXR”.

Seasonal Championship – Get a Groove On
This week, it is a car from the 1970’s that is required, and it has to be A Class 800.
I chose a stock Meyers Manx Forza Edition, just for something a bit different. It’s a bit drifty!
Completing the championship will get us a BMW M2 Coupe which is nice.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt -Danger Sign – Canyon Snap
The restriction here is a Peugeot 205 Rallye and a tuning limit of B Class 700. Look for share name “205RB” with my GT, Red620Ti.
We need to jump over 135m from the sign, and hitting the ramp at over 125 mph saw me do it easily.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.
Seasonal Championship – New Years R-Evolutions
A series of off road races, and a B Class Mitsubishi Evo. Made for each other, no?
I went for the Evo VIII MR, and the share code for mine is : 141172186.
I love this thing!
For winning out, we can take away a Jeep Wrangler.
With Series 28 done, you should have enough points for the reward cars of the Porsche MissionR for 80 points, and a Koenigsegg Agera for 160.
The Secret Santa challenge has been met too, and the new car was an Aston Martin Valkyrie. Check your messages if you don’t already have it.
If you need a few extra points to get you over the line, the monthly Rivals challenges are here; Marigold Sprint for proper cars, as well as the new Winter Wonderland Circuit. Grab enough points and Series 28 Winter: Part 4 (remember, every season is Winter this time around) also sees you given access to the exclusive Lotus 340R for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Lambo Huracan STO.
The next Series is called “Community Choice”, and that is the sum total of the knowledge I have about it. However, come back this time next week and I’m totally sure I’ll have all the info at my fingertips. I might even have some cars and tunes for you too. Honest.
