The second season of Series 24 has rolled around in Forza Horizon 5, and it is the turn of Autumn to march into the spotlight. Have you managed to fill your garage again after the increase in size that recently came about? I have a feeling I’m not far off after a spending spree buying all the new Italian cars that have recently been introduced to Forza Horizon 5.
But it’s not the cars we are here for today, it’s the latest challenges. With Series 24 Autumn, there are a host of new Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges and events. Up for the new cars and tunes that will help you complete those events with ease?
Let’s get cracking…
Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Lancia-Lot
The subject of this week’s challenge is a true classic from the rally scene, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO. Best suited to the old Martini livery, these cars used to terrify the rally stages, especially in Group B fire-breathing trim.
Luckily, the road going version was a bit tamer, albeit with a distressing tendency to dissolve if it rained…
If you don’t have one in your garage, it will cost you a mere 100,000 credits from the Autoshow.
Chapter 1 – High Fidelity
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete!
Chapter 2 – Purpose-Built
Now we need to simply win a dirt race, which should be easy enough given that this is a rally car!
Pick your favourite and do your best.
Chapter 3 – Super Turbo
Given the fact this car has a turbo, we need to use it to reach 140mph.
Hit the highway and let it rip. Hoewever, in stock trim it can’t do it, so look for share name “Lancia” with my GT, Red620Ti. I’ll sort you out with some pace.
Chapter 4 – Evoluzione
We now need to earn three stars at Danger Signs. Fairly easy, right? It is, go and hit whatever sign you like.
And with that, the weekly car challenge is complete, and we are five points nearer to the new cars on offer in Series 24 this time around.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
Now that we are embracing la dolce vita, it seems a shame to break off and do some racing, but needs must and all that!
Let’s jump straight in and see what tunes I can offer to help with The Trial, EventLabs, Championships and more.
The Trial – Grand Touring
The Trial this week restricts us to Italian Super GT cars, and of the not massive choice of vehicles, I chose a Ferrari 812 Superfast. With a tuning limit of S1 Class 900, it should at least be quick enough to keep our attention. The share code for my car is: 261040765.
The people I found last week were actually very friendly and didn’t spend the whole race crashing into each other, so small victories and all that! Hopefully you will be equally lucky…
Should we manage to win two out of three races, a lovely Lancia Stratos will be yours as a reward. Nice and new!
Eventlab 1 – THEFILTHYHONEY Presents Stadium C
For this Eventlab, we need to use an Italian Track Toy car, and the tuning limit is S1 Class 900.
I went with a stock Lamborghini Huracan STO. Despite sounding like something that would require a trip to the GP, it is nice and quick.
The track layout is very good, with a mix of high and low speed corners to keep you on your toes. There is clearly a lot of work gone into this track, so credit where credits due. All in all, the course has a nice flow to it.
The prize for completing this race is a Ferrari F40.
Eventlab 2 – SKTARKZ23 Presents Pidore Festival of Speed – V8SC 1
For this Eventlab, we need to use an Italian Retro supercar tuned to only A Class 800, and so I went with the classic Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV. Share code is: 797737461.
The course works well again, and I’m impressed with the Eventlabs this Series.
A Super Wheelspin will be yours for completing the course. How lucky!
PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Bulevar
This week the tuning limit for these events is A Class 800, and the class of car is Italian Retro Supercars. For all the events!
For this one, we need to zoom past the camera at over 170 mph, and so the weapon of choice is a Ferrari 575M Maranello. Share is unavailable, but the share is 575 in conjunction with my GT, Red620Ti.
A Super Wheelspin? It’ll do.
PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Northern Passage
Speed requires a quick car, obviously, and with the target for this being 160 mph, I stayed in the same Ferrari from above.
Another Super Wheelspin awaits.
PR Stunt 3 -Speed Zone – Ringroad
Same class of car, but a different challenge this time – let us drive to an average speed!
90 mph to be precise, and while this sounds slow, we need a car that can cope, and so it is the 575 once again.
The course is quite bendy, but approaching from the left seems a tad easier.
Yet another Super Wheelspin to add to the pile.
Seasonal Championship 1 – Shopping Trip
In this championship, the challenge is to take an Italian SUV and win some races. And only tuned to A Class 800.
With a not massive choice of cars to choose from, I went with a Lamborghini Urus, which makes a rude noise.
The share code for mine is unknown, but look for “Urus” and “Red620Ti” together. That’s the one you want to download.
For winning outright solo, or best two out of three in a convoy, we can take home a Lamborghini LM002.
Seasonal Championship 2 – Prancing Horses
Ferraris are required for this one, and the tuning limit is S1 Class 900. That calls for an old favourite, the Ferrari 812 Superfast. The share code for mine is : 261040765.
It’s called Superfast, should be quick enough right?
We can walk away with another prize for winning, a Ferrari 812, ironically enough!
Seasonal Championship 3 – Contemporary Italian
A third championship this week? You’re spoiling us!
This one requires a Modern Supercar from Italy to take part, and tuned to S1 Class 900. I went with a Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4 from 2014. The share code is : 101467248.
Coming out on top will net us a new prize, a Fist Pump emote.
Part 3: Other Challenges
There’s always more to get involved in than just the racing, and that is the case again this week. There’s the Photo Challenge and the Collectible challenge this week, so slim pickings.
Still, better than a poke in the eye, right?
Photo Challenge – #MASERATIFESTIVAL
We need a Maserati, believe it or not, and we need to take it to the Apex Festival site and snap a photo.
I’ll post the location and my artistic effort below. Can you do better? Although if your effort doesn’t include a dinosaur costume, I won’t even consider it!
One day we should run a photo contest, I reckon. What say you Mr Editor sir?
The reward? A new car horn, Fred V & Grafix. No idea!
Collectible Challenge – All Aboard
This week, someone has left a boat load of pinatas around Palacio Azul Del Oceano, and we have to smash ten of them. I’ll post a picture of the collectible and the location below.
Getting smash happy will get us another car horn, the Sea of Thieves Theme. Piratey!
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Forest Edge
S2 Class again, but this time we need to use an Extreme Track Toy to jump over 400 m, which is a big ask. I used a Bugatti Divo, share code: 169915677 to do it, and pinned the throttle and hoped!
Hitting the ramp at over 200 mph was enough to win.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship -Surf’s Up
Just an S1 Class 900 car is required this week, and as I do like a Mustang, I went with the Shelby GT500 from 2020. Share code is : 335181307.
Winning all the races, or two out of three in a convoy, will get us a new car horn – the Hot Wheels Monster Truck one to be exact.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Canyon Rush
We need to use yet another Italian car here, but this time tuned to A Class 800. The target is above 150 mph, so I went with the same Maserati GT-S I used last week, and this time the share code is : 312990331.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin.
Seasonal Championship – Raptoriffic
For this series of races, we’re looking at an Italian car, tuned to a maximum of S1 Class 900. The choice is large, but in the interests of being as cheap as possible, let’s use the same Ferrari 812 Superfast from above. The share code for mine is : 261040765, in case you have forgotten! I’ll keep throwing these share codes out in hope of new downloads!
For winning out, we can take away a new bit of clothing – a Epitaph White Logo Relaxed Fit Tee. Still not as good as a dinosaur suit.
With Series 24 moving along nicely, the cars for the month are quite nice. For 80 points, we can have a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, while 160 points will see us walk away with a Ferrari 512 Testa Rossa
The new monthly Rivals challenges are here too. Grab some clean laps around the Horizon Mexico circuit, or complete a clean run of the Volcan Sprint route to earn 4 points apiece. Every little helps but you’ve got the full Series to get these completed. Unless you did them last week?
Grab enough points and Series 24 Autumn will also see you gifted with the exclusive Abarth 695 from 2016 for 20 points, and for 40 points we can get an Alfa Romeo 4C, a rare car.
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
So what do you think of our tunes and cars? Have they helped you out a little? Do you have something better?
Let us know in the comments. And like I made a mental note to type, Winter is coming! And then Spring, and then a new Series… I need a holiday!
