Having been available on PlayStation since 2019, it’s time for Xbox players to get crosswording, all thanks to the release of Crossovers by POWGI.
Anyone familiar with the word-puzzling scene will know all about the ‘… by POWGI’ titles that have been pushed to console through the Lightwood Games team in recent years. And if you’re not familiar, you should be as there have been a ton of them – Word Sudoku, Mixups, Just a Phrase and more accompany the latest releases of Sixty Words and Letterbox.
All bring something slightly different to the word-themed table, with Crossovers by POWGI the latest – a crossword in which you only need to worry about single letters.
It’s priced at £6.69 from the Xbox Store, fully playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, with full new-gen optimisation for those on the more powerful consoles. Don’t expect too much fanciness or jazz though, this is very much a well put together crossword affair that throws text and dad jokes your way.
There’s a ton of content included for that low price though – some 200 crossword clues to complete, as you drop letters into a grid and go about solving a cryptic clue as success is found.
We’re currently mid-point in our review of Crossovers by POWGI and will let you know how it plays soon. For now though you can grab this Christmas teaser by heading to the Xbox Store.
