Mr. Run and Jump gets a new Ghost Mode

There’s no doubt that Mr. Run and Jump is a bit of a brutal platforming experience. But the addiction it brings is very much real, as you go at it again and again, speedrunning to an inch of your life. If Mr. Run and Jump is a game that has grabbed you, then you’ll probably be interested to know about the new ghostly game mode that Atari have implemented.

A new ghostly game mode

Rolling out today to Mr. Run and Jump players on all platforms is the new Ghost Mode. Available to help increase your skills across Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC, this has been put in place to aid your playthroughs and runtimes. It works by giving you the chance to ‘race’ against a ghost avatar, taking your previous attempts at stage completion, pitting yourself against yourself.

It feels like a decent addition to the whole Mr. Run and Jump ideals, especially suited to those looking to shave milliseconds off their previous best times. We’re pretty sure it’ll help all though, as they look to complete the tough tests that lay in wait.

Taking pride of place as the feature headliner, kicking in alongside the Ghost Mode in Mr. Run and Jump are further adjustments to level and enemy balancing. This should ensure that Mr. Run and Jump is further elevated in the rankings.

You’ll want to play Mr. Run and Jump

If you haven’t yet played Mr. Run and Jump, then we’d advise you to take in our full review of the game on Xbox. Taking place as a 2D, neon-infused platformer, it’s a game that will have you running, jumping, dashing and dodging your way to victory. We rate it highly, giving a 4/5 review score to what Atari have put together.

“Hugely accessible, Mr. Run and Jump is once again proof that Atari know exactly what is needed to deliver a new addiction to the modern gaming scene. This is a vibrant platforming delight.”

You’ll find Mr. Run and Jump on the Xbox Store, playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It’s also on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, PC and Atari VCS.
