Another week has been and gone, so before we crack on yet again, it’s time to look back and give our opinions on the best Xbox One and Xbox 360 articles of the week. Anything you missed?
Out early in the New Year, Dying Light will be gunning for your wallet as it attempts to cross near enough every videogame genre to date. Techland, the guys behind the Zombie thriller have released details on a rather decent pre-order scheme which sees all those who order the game early getting access to a plethora of new, rare weapons. All you need to do is throw your preorder details into the Dying Light site and you’ll be granted free stuff.
Additionally, Techland have dropped two new trailers this week, both of which can be found in the links below along with our other favourite vids of the week….you really shouldn’t be missing the final Batman Arkham Knight trailer either.
- The latest Dying Light trailer details the story…and it’s rather damn good!
- Dying Light opening cinematic unveiled
- Batman: Arkham Knight Ace Chemicals Infiltration Trailer – Part 3
- Debut gameplay trailer and details announced for King’s Quest
- Middle-earth Shadow of Mordor fan inspired trailer released
- Go behind the scenes with the latest Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell video
Away from the trailers, and we were gifted a few new titles this last week. Xbox 360 owners should now be seeing JUJU in their market place and first impressions are pretty good indeed. A co-op platformer, JUJU has been built with differing abilities firmly in mind and so if you’re looking for a game to play with a lesser skilled gamer (ie, a young child), then JUJU should be at the top of your Xbox 360 list. We’ll have a full review up for you real soon but you could always give the free trial a go prior to reading that. Or indeed watch one of the two trailers that released, the underwater trailer or the lovely candy one.
Xbox One owners meanwhile can take their pick of new titles this week. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Venom Pinball and Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut have all appeared on Xbox One Games Store and all promise something a little different. Lara fans will no doubt love Temple of Osiris, whilst both Pinball lovers will Spidey fans should be flocking to the cheap Venom table that can now be found in Pinball FX2. Personally, we’ve liked the bright look of Giana Sisters and just hope it plays out well. Our reviews of all three will no doubt dig out the winner!
If none of those take your fancy, you could do worse than check out the EA Access Vault in a few days time as EA will be adding EA Sports UFC to the scheme. That’ll give Access pass holders seven titles to get unlimited hands on time with and sees the Vault go from strength to strength. For the rather piddly £20 per year, the EA Access scheme is beginning to seem like a bit of a no brainer.
Whilst I have your attention, it would be rude to not throw you a couple of links to three more piece of news that you shouldn’t miss. Xbox owners get an exclusive look at the new Havoc DLC weapons in Call of Duty Advanced Warfare, whilst disappointment reigns for those waiting patiently for The Witcher 3 as it has been delayed (again), and the excitement rises for Xbox One gamers who like free stuff as it’s been confirmed #IDARB will be given away for free with the Xbox Games With Gold scheme for Febraury 2015.
It was also a busy week for reviews as not one, not two, not even three new review articles were posted. Yes sir, TheXboxHub treated you to no less than four new reviews in the last week, with mobile to console convert Threes!, fast-paced shooter Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, basketballs best NBA 2K15 and Ubisoft’s open world social connected racer The Crew all being put under the microscope at TXH Towers.
Finally for this week, let me point you in the direction of our current competition. Time is fast running out to get involved, so click this link in order to try and win an Afterglow Karga Xbox One Stereo Headset. They are rather bloody lovely!
