Yep, here we are again with a couple of new Game Pass additions. Very much two by two by two for January, today it’s time to go and rob a bank. Or maybe we’ll just go racing.
The Game Pass subscription service for January 2024 has been a good one. There have been tons of new additions, mostly arriving in dual form, hand-in-hand to help gamers get through it. That’s the case again today too as Turnip Boy returns and looks to pull off the heist of the century, whilst the glitz and glamour of the F1 circuit deals with a whole different level of money.
Turnip Boy Robs a Bank
Previously committed tax evasion? Yeah, us too. But we’re blaming Turnip Boy for all the bad things we have done in our lives. We’re gonna nail him for making us rob a bank too.
A Day One Game Pass debutant, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is the next in the Turnip Boy series of games. It comes on the back of Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion to once more provide us with a ton of comedic felony. Playing out as an action adventure that just so happens to swing in some roguelite action, in Turnip Boy Robs a Bank you’ll be found trying to pull off the perfect heist. It’s something we honed in Teardown previously, but can we do the same with a turnip in tow? Debatable.
If you played and enjoyed the first game, we’d guess you’ll get on with this one too. Our full review of Turnip Boy Robs a Bank is coming, but for now you can get a Game Pass download moving. The Xbox Store will do the usual and sort you out with the job in hand.
F1 23
Thanks to the inclusion of EA Play in the whole Game Pass ecosystem, it’s time for racers to take in the latest – and greatest? – F1 racer.
From EA and Codemasters, F1 23 covers everything you could ever want from a Formula One racing experience. It’s probably the best looking F1 game to date, it runs with the next instalment in the ever-exciting Braking Point story saga and, frankly, sounds the absolute bomb. If ever you wanted to be fully immersed into the F1 lifestyle, F1 23 allows for it. It also means there are more F1 games on Game Pass. That’s a good thing.
Aside from EA flexing with sticker collection, there’s next to no reason to miss out on F1 23 now that it is on Game Pass. Give our full review of F1 23 a read if you want to know more, but the concluding lines sum this racer up brilliantly…
“F1 23 is a step up from what was created in F1 22, and thanks to the inclusion of a second instalment of Braking Point, it’s right up there with F1 2021. In some aspects it surpasses that too. The racing is nigh on perfect, always tense, never forgiving, and the inclusion of F1 World is a whole pitstop ahead of what was delivered in the ‘Supercars’ experience of twelve months back.”
Need more Game Pass?
Ah yeah, don’t think that these two additions to the Game Pass service on Xbox and PC are it for the month. In fact, come January 19th we’ll find the much anticipated Palworld rocking up in Game Preview form. From there, we’ll be locking and loading with the pinball shooting of Go Mecha Ball and then powering through an arena shooter with Brotato.
There are hints at what February has to offer too. Expect Persona 3 Reload to drop into Game Pass come Feb 2nd with Anuchard following that on the 6th.
Of course, for all the additions, some games must make way. January 31st is the last day of the month and that is when a couple shift out. If you haven’t yet played Hitman: World of Assassination or F1 2021 yet, you best get to it.
Today though, you’ll be best off robbing a bank and then making your getaway in the fastest cars on earth. Sounds good, huh?
